Als onderdeel van de tentoonstelling To Seminar organiseert BAK een reeks performances, lezingen en openbare bijeenkomsten waarin gevraagd wordt hoe leren over, met en door middel van kunst een collectieve praktijk kan worden waarin alternatieve realiteiten voor de hedendaagse, in crises verkerende wereld worden bedacht en in de praktijk gebracht.

Donderdag 23 maart 2017 presenteert BAK Co-Action Device. I rather laugh, een performance door İnci Eviner in samenwerking met Sırma Öztaş, Adnan Devran, Iris Ergül, Buse Aktaş, Şafak Çatalbaş, Ecem Sarıçayır en studenten van de MaHKU Fine Art en het masterprogramma scenografie van de HKU, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, Utrecht. Na een tiendaagse serie van impromptu performances en workshops op de begane grond van BAK, is deze performance het culminatiepunt van de collectieve zoektocht naar artistieke instrumenten voor nieuwe politieke en coöperatieve vormen van ‘samenzijn’.

De deuren openen om 19.00 uur zodat het mogelijk is de tentoonstelling te bezichtigen. De performance begint om 19.30 uur. Aanmelding is niet vereist.

Using the sancocho (a pan-Latin American soup with no fixed recipe) as a tool for research and encounter, Mercado Lourdes (Bogotá, Colombia) will host and organize a series of field meals. These events activate and connect the multiple affects that have resulted from ongoing research with local producers into the biodiversity of the territory.

In all continents, people have built matriarchal cosmologies sustained by complex rituals. In the advent of main modern religions and after centuries of colonizing invasions, the goddesses of antiquity were suppressed by the patriarchal structures that consolidated our era. However, they found ways to speak to us in the language of patterns, melodies, and poems. This workshop uses the voice as a method to reveal the presence of goddesses.

Different strategies, tools, methodologies, and contexts are explored to learn more about the challenges and opportunities in the practices and theories of community kitchens.
