About
The Basecamp for Tactical Imaginaries unbuilds and rebuilds cultural infrastructure to collectively confront the urgencies of today. In this collective endeavour, the Basecamp spaces are shared with countless artists, activists, companion collectives, organisations, and organisers.
Do you want to organise at the Basecamp? Our spaces welcome all sorts of collectivity aligned with the Basecamp’s values, from (digital/hybrid) talks, presentations, lectures, meetings and workshops, to exhibitions, screenings, dialogues, co-creation sessions, or other manners of gathering.
The available spaces include our fully equipped auditorium, our library, our studio, the mezzanine, and the main space. The kitchen is also available for catering or to use yourselves, in discussion. Below you can find an indicative overview of costs as well as a template you can fill in with your proposal!
Are you interested in organising at the Basecamp, renting a space, or have questions regarding this? Send us an email via info@bakonline.org or call us at 030 2316125. We can explore what's possible, answer or clarify any queries, or schedule a tour of the building.
Do you already want to send in a proposal? We ask that, if you're able to, to reach out with an already filled-in proposal template!
Do you not just want to rent a space but to join the Basecamp as a companion collective? Reach out to Srishagon, the coordinator of community-holding, via srishagon@bakonline.org to get to know each other, learn more about the Basecamp and our community, and explore joining us!

These costs are indicative and we understand that for many of us in these times, our capacities are strained. We want to emphasise that for the community and grassroots, Basecamp is a home and hub. Do you want to organise at the Basecamp and are limited in means? Let us know!
