He is Professor of Video Art at Academy of Media Arts Cologne, Cologne. Recent exhibitions include: the meaning of style, Gallery of Modern Art, Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane, 2012; Revolution vs. Revolution, Beirut Art Center, Beirut, 2012; and Phil Collins: marxism today, British Film Institute, London, 2011.
