Queer Cartographies

creative mapping workshop for queer migrants
organized by Ilya Genov

Think of the worlds you once drew as a child, or the landscapes that appear in your dreams. How have your experiences of queerness and migration shaped the places you long for, remember, or imagine? Which worlds feel out of reach in the present moment, and how might we insist on imagining and living them together anyway?

In this third and final workshop of the Queer Cartographies series, we will turn our attention to imagined landscapes that may not exist in the material world we inhabit. We will map and explore queer worlds we never got to live in, engaging with ideas that might seem impossible, naïve, or unrealistic.

Through radical queer imagination, we will open up pathways toward alternative futures, connecting with one another through dream, fantasy, and play.
