MAFA Graduation Show: Meanwhile

This exhibition embraces the instability of bodies, histories, and materials in flux.

In uncertain times, when precarity defines our present and futures remain unresolved, we turn to the in-between. We exist between home and displacement, ritual and rupture, motion and stillness, iteration and dissolution. This exhibition embraces the instability of bodies, histories, and materials in flux.

As students of the Master of Fine Arts (MAFA) program, with diverse practices, approaches and backgrounds we turn to the title Meanwhile, as an attempt to sit for some time in the in-between. We present a constellation of works not followed by a full stop but by a comma—an opening not a closing, a temporary solidification of ideas, stories and realities that engage with transition, uncertainty, and the in-between.
