Along the Lane of Memory

workshop collective story reading & doll making
facilitated by Fatemeh Asiri with the b.ASIC a.CTIVIST k.ITCHEN

Let's gather for a collective story reading. A story that speaks about memories, fragility, belonging, bravery, motion, and grounding. This is not a workshop in the conventional sense, but rather a somatic exploration where we try to practice a shared act of listening, breathing, and sounding.

At the beginning of the session, we will make dolls using recyclable materials, with techniques that were used by the people of southern Iran, from which the story is based. The dolls will be our witnesses.

While reading the text together, we will create a sound piece. By using gestures such as snapping and stomping, humming, clapping, or knocking, we will build an ambience that helps us hold the weight of the story collectively.

This workshop is open to all, just let us know you're coming and if you're joining for dinner too by writing an email to joining@bakonline.org
For your participation, we suggest a donation between €5-12
